For this project we had to think of a theme which has changed over time, such as art, technology, film, etc.  After a long time deliberating I decided upon sea navigation methods over the last 3000 years.

For this we  just had to do collages of which I did nothing to adventureous and split the eras up into 6 different categories.  As Ben mentioned they were not done in a particular style which is important and something that I need to bear in mind for the future.  I did some of them using tutorials on You Tube and a couple came out ok, one of the better ones below.

Progression Report

For this I will probably be  going to Liverpool to get pictures/further research at either the Maritime Museum or the World Museum Liverpool.  I wanted originally to go to Whitby and do a take on Captain James Cook but as this is the “Best day out 2008″  it is completely booked out!  Not to worry though, I shall just revert back to my original ideas which will be sea navigation equipment post 1000AD and more than likely all  European types.  I’ll be trying to achieve a stills picture animation using after effects and present this in a documentary style 2 minute program – easier said than done!!!
